The Ministry of Information Industry of the People’s Republic of China and the United States Department of Commerce International Trade Administration are pleased to announce the first U.S.–China ICT Energy Efficiency Forum. The Forum is a sanctioned event of the U.S.–China Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade (JCCT) Information Industry Working Group (IIWG). The Forum focuses on how innovation in the ICT industry promotes energy efficiency in many industries. Topics to be covered include:
    • The role of innovation in ICT in support of energy efficiency;

    • Government–Industry partnerships in ICT energy efficiency;

    • Global voluntary standards activities in ICT energy efficiency;

    • Industry best practices in ICT energy efficiency; in semiconductor production, and in the consumer electronics industry.

    • MII will introduce their ICT energy efficiency regulations currently in the drafting process.
