SHOW DESCRIPTION: The Hotel Show is the most important trade fair dedicated to the hospitality industry in the Middle East, and is recognized as the largest hospitality event for the MENA, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) & emerging markets. The Hotel Show 2014 promises to provide an excellent opportunity for suppliers of hotel and hospitality products to meet decision makers that comprise the Middle East region and beyond.

The future of hotel development in Middle East and Africa remains bright, with a total of 478 hotels totaling 119,233 rooms in the pipeline. Dubai has the biggest number of hotel rooms under construction in the Middle East and Africa region. The UAE is expected to continue to lead new project development as 100 new hotels will be built as part of the multi-billion dollar Mohammed Bin Rashid City project. EXPO 2020 will bring in multi-billion dollar projects to Dubai with significant expected increase in 3–and 4-star classified hotels as well as luxury hotels.

The GCC completed projects in the hotel sector were worth $6.1 Bn in 2013 and $5.9 bn due to be completed in 2014.

Growth forecast of $27 Bn is expected in the GCC hospitality market by 2015!

COST: OTEXA will sponsor a USA sample booth at The Hotel Show 2014. The cost for exhibiting in the USA catalog booth ranges from $950 to $2000. For $950 you may submit up to 6 samples books of fabrics with business cards, and catalogs. For $2000, you will have a dedicated table to showcase your products along with pre-set appointments with selected buyers. Shipment of samples and product literature to and from the show is the responsibility of the participant.

The Dubai Hotel Show took place at the Dubai World Trade Center September 28-30, 2014.The show organizer, DMG expected over 600 exhibitors, most from the Gulf States and Asia, and approximately 17,000 trade visitors from 98 countries. The show was very upbeat based on future growth of new hotels in the region, including accelerating growth in the mid-level 3 and 4 star categories. Some government officials expect over 300 new hotels to be built and others refurbished in time for the Expo 2020 World's Fair in Dubai, October 2020-April 2021.

OTEXA’s (Office of Textiles and Apparel) catalog booth included 9 companies including Rhona L.K. Schonwald, a fine artist who is licensing her designs for bedding, upholstery, wall coverings, and carpets for the hospitality industry; JVA Art Group, Artwork and photography fabrication and solutions; Burlington, Inc. uniform fabrics; Kenyon International, a manufacturer of ceramic glass cooktops and stainless steel electric grills; The Word Art Group, a global leader in hospitality wall decor; The Pillow Company, a manufacturer of hand-made sleeping pillows; Design 528, a design intensive luxury furniture manufacturer for the hospitality industry; Langhorne Carpet Company, a manufacturer of Wilton carpets; and JITNI a manufacturer of luxury tissue-weight cashmere and wool/ silk blend scarves.
