Specialists and technicians, mainly from Europe, the United States and Latin America, discuss the environmental situation in Spain and other countries, problems, solutions, etc. Additionally, it includes an exhibit with the participation of private companies and official entities. The U.S. Embassy inMadrid coorganized a televideo conference and roundtable with representatives of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Spanish officials during last year’s congress.

The U.S. Department of Commerce Showcase Europe Program selected the U.S. Pavilion at the 1998 show as a priority event in the environmental sector for that year.
