Internship Opportunities


The Office of Environmental Technologies Industries is interested in highly qualified interns to support Trade Specialists in outreach, market research, trade promotion, and international trade and environmental policy development. Position responsibilities include:
  1. Promotion of industry trade events.
  2. Research and analysis on environmental policy and commercial markets in Latin America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
  3. Research of environmental industry policy issues.
  4. Writing on international trade and regulatory issues, trade negotiations, and finance mechanisms.
  5. Database management.
  6. Opportunities to take part in environmental policy meetings with American and foreign government officials and executives, in the environmental industry.

The ideal candidate should be a mature graduate student or undergraduate upperclassman with excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to work independently, and an interest in international trade and/or environment. The candidate must be familiar with Word, Excel, Power Point, Lotus Notes, and the World Wide Web. Additional computer/software experience is valuable but not required. Interns must be U.S. citizens and currently enrolled in a degree earning university program.

Candidates must commit a minimum of 16 hours per week, for three months. The office is looking for qualified candidates on an ongoing basis. These positions are unpaid .
