Personal Information Received From the EU: BBK uses health and other personal contact information from individuals who would like to learn more about becoming a clinical study participant. This data is collected either through a third party call center using an E.C approved prescreening call script or through an E.C. approved prescreening Web site. Data for individuals who pre-qualify for a particular study is stored in a database at BBK. Though a web-based data management tool, investigative sites are able to retrieve this data for individuals that have actively elected to have their data forwarded the particular investigative site, to facilitate study enrollment. If sites do not have Internet access, this information is faxed to the site. No personal, identifying information, other than zip code, is collected for individuals who do not pre-qualify for a study.
In addition, BBK uses the deidentified health and zip code data to inform additional media planning, redeployment, and resource allocation. BBK shares the deidentified and aggregated information with the study’s Sponsor.
Investigative site staff can also add personal contact information for individuals who have consented to participate in a study. Only the site that entered the information and the administrators at BBK have access to this information. This data is used by the site for tracking purposes, such as retention.
No data of any type is distributed for any other purpose than for which it was originally intended.
