Personal Information Received From the EU: MetiLinx uses information for several general purposes: to fulfill the customer's requests for certain products and services, to personalize the customer's experience on our website, to keep them up to date on the latest product announcements, software updates, special offers or other information we think they would like to hear about either from us or from our business partners, and to better understand their needs and provide them with better services. We may also use the customer's information to send them, or to have our business partners send them, direct marketing information or contact them for market research.
Because MetiLinx is a global company, the customer's personal information may be shared with other MetiLinx offices or subsidiaries around the world, including the European Union. All such entities are governed by this Privacy Policy and/or are bound by the appropriate confidentiality and data transfer agreements.
The customer's personal information is never shared outside MetiLinx if they opt-out of such disclosure, except as provided below. Inside MetiLinx, data is stored in controlled servers with limited access. The customer's information may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country where MetiLinx, its subsidiaries, affiliates or agents are located.
If the customer does not opt-out, MetiLinx may send their personal information to other companies or people under any of the following circumstances: when we need to share their information to provide the product or service they have requested; when we need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of MetiLinx to provide a product or service to them (we will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose); or when we want to keep the customer up to date on the latest product announcements, software updates, special offers or other information we think they would like to hear about either from us or from our business partners. We will also disclose their personal information if required to do so by law, to enforce our Terms of Use, or in urgent circumstances, to protect personal safety, the public or our websites.

Customer or Metilinx employee complaints will generally be escalated internally. Metilinx educates its employees about compliance with the Safe Harbor Principles and has self-assessment procedures in place to assure its compliance.
In the event that Metilinx is unable to resolve a complaint to the customer's or employee's satisfaction, Metilinx will direct the employee or customer to contact the European Data Protection Authorities (DPAs).
Metilinx commits to cooperate with the DPAs and will cooperate with them in the investigation and resolution of complaints brought under the Safe Harbor. Metilinx will comply with any advice given by the DPA's where the DPA's take the view that Metilinx needs to take specific action to comply with the Safe Harbor Principles, including remedial or compensatory measures for the benefit of individuals affected by any non-compliance with the Principles, and will provide the DPA's with written confirmation that such action has been taken.
